Martin Stands Out!

For the first time, the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation carried out its latest round of professional review interviews remotely due to the impacts of Covid-19.

Among those successful in their applications were four candidates judged to be ‘outstanding’, including Martin Eland, assistant operations manager at W.D.M. Limited, WDM USA's parent company, who achieved the EngTech qualification in the UK.

“It was a complete surprise to be named as outstanding,” said Martin, who drew on 20 years of experience for his portfolio of evidence and felt that extensive preparation made him stand out at interview.

“I had all of my evidence ready at my fingertips so when I was answering the questions I could demonstrate that what I was saying was correct.”

Following his EngTech success, Martin has enrolled for a masters degree in data analytics and operations management.
