Last year there were an average of 12 deaths a day on Texas roads. It’s been over 20 years since Texas saw a day without a single traffic death.
It’s time to ask your local elected officials to adopt Vision Zero. Join WDM and Vision Zero Texas in asking the leaders of every city, county, metropolitan organization, and transportation agency in Texas to adopt goals and action plans to end traffic deaths.

Over the course of this two day summit we will be exploring a variety of topics about how we can make Texas streets and roads safer for everyone, including:
- From Zero to Vision Zero: adopting meaningful goals and plans
- Comprehensive speed management strategies
- Disproportionate impacts of traffic crashes
- Equitable approaches to Vision Zero
- Safe Metro Regions: the TxDOT/MPO Safety Task Force
