SCRIM’s the word!

WDM USA's parent company, W.D.M. Limited has just completed its largest ever SCRIM® machine survey of UK roads.

The Company, which is the UK’s largest provider of highway survey services, used a fleet of eight SCRIM® road survey machines to measure 105,000 kms of carriageway in 2021.

The SCRIM® vehicle measures the wet road skid resistance as part of a complete highway asset management solution to governments and local highway authorities. The Company is a recognised world leader in the testing of road surface friction. 

Operations Manager Peter Zaffiro says when external factors, such as Covid, the lack of hotel availability due to staycations and fuel difficulties are considered, this is a “fantastic achievement”.

All the survey work was completed within the contract period with adherence and compliance to CS228.
